People wishing to join Caves Beach SLSC need to complete and application for membership form and sign a declaration for as required by Surf Life Saving Australia. New members over the age of 18 are also required to complete a Prohibited Employment Declaration in accordance with the Child Protection (Prohibited Employment) Act 1998.
Membership Categories are as follows;
- Probationary
- Junior Activity Member (7-13 years)
- Cadet (13-15 years)
- Active (15-18 years)
- Active (18+ years)
- Long Service
- Associate Member**
- Award Members**
Current Members can renew their membership by completing an application for renewal of membership form and signing a declaration form in accordance with Surf Life Saving Australia's requirements. Application forms are available for both new and renewing members from the club registrar at the surf club nominated registration days.
** Active membership is not for everyone. Caves Beach SLSC offers the opportunity for everyone in the community to become a member of the club through the Award or Associate membership categories. Associate membership is open to anyone over the age of 27 years. While Award membership requires the individual to undergo training in such disciplines as Communications, First Aid or Resuscitation. Award members can participate in aquatic safety supporting the active patrolling members.
