No fee only to be granted to those members as approved by the Executive Committee under the rules of the constitution 
 

 Community Membership $45 - Community Membership is a new social membership category that allows people to join without the intention or need to participate directly in lifesaving activities. Please see the 'Membership Categories' drop down below for more information. 


Junior Membership Fees

NOTE its compulsory for 1 parent to join with 5-13 year members – Community Memberships cannot be used here

Caves Beach SLSC is encouraging all members wishing to join or re-register for the 2022-23 season to do so via the SLSA Member Portal 

It is super easy and we have provided step-by-step information below to assist you with the process. Of course, our club registrar is available for assistance please email regos@cavesslsc.com.au if you need any help.

Upon receipt of the membership application, which must include full payment of membership fees, all pending memberships will be considered by the management committee for acceptance and the outcomes will be advised accordingly. 

NOTE NSW Government regulations prohibit us from issuing refunds on claimed Active Kids Vouchers if you change your mind for whatever reason once registered for the 2022-23 season we cannot issue you a refund.

Membership Categories are as follows;

  • Junior Activity Member (5-13 years)
  • Cadet (13-15 years)
  • Active (15-17 years)

  • Community Membership*

*Active membership is not for everyone. Caves Beach S.L.S.C offers the opportunity for everyone in the community to become a member of the club through the Award or Associate membership categories.

Associate membership is open to anyone over the age of 27 years.

Award membership requires the individual to undergo training in such disciplines as Communications, First Aid, or Resuscitation. Award members can participate in aquatic safety supporting the active patrolling members.

Registration Instructions for New Members to Caves Beach SLSC

You can join Caves Beach SLSC for the first time or renew your membership quickly online through the Surf Life Saving Australia - Members Portalhttps://sls.com.au/join/

Step 1. Joining for the first time

If you are a new member then you will need to create an SLS account following the steps below

  • Go to https://sls.com.au/join/
  • Click Join
  • Please ensure that you select Surf Life Saving NSW and Caves Beach as the surf club that you’re joining
  • Fill out your details and submit
    • To Join more members then click the ‘create a family group’ link
  • Accept SLSA MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION AND DECLARATION (click to view it) :
    • Tick the 3 boxes and fill in the parent or guardian full name section if required 
  • Submit the form
  • If more than one member is joining, then this must be repeated for each member.
  • Proceed to Step 3

NEW MEMBER IDENTIFICATION

New members must send us an image of their proof of age (birth certificate or passport) to: regos@cavesslsc.com.au 

IMPORTANT: Membership applications submitted without payment will be rejected and you will need to resubmit your membership application again. To avoid this, ensure that BOTH the Membership Application has been submitted and your membership fees have been paid. Only FINANCIAL members are covered by SLSNSW Insurance and iCare (formerly WorkCover).

APPROVAL OF APPLICATION

Upon receipt of the membership application, which must include full payment of membership fees, all pending memberships will be considered by the management committee for acceptance and the outcomes will be advised accordingly. 

Registration Instructions for Renewing Members of Caves Beach SLSC

RENEWING SINGLE MEMBERSHIPS

Existing members will need to renew their membership online this season via the SLSA Online Members Area (you can also do this on your mobile phone).

  1. Create a ‘members account’  if you haven’t done so already. If you have simply enter your email and password where required. Please check your details and update if anything has changed in 12 months, ensure that the Club has an active e-mail address and mobile number. This is critical information we require in case we need to contact you.

RENEWING FAMILY GROUPS

  1. Create a ‘members account’  if you haven’t done so already. If you have simply enter your email and password where required. Please check your details and update if anything has changed in 12 months, ensure that the Club has an active e-mail address and mobile number. This is critical information we require in case we need to contact you.
  2. At the Members Area Home page select “Renew Membership for a Family Group”.  If you do not see this option, email us for support at regos@cavesslsc.com.au 
  3. At the Family Group Details page select “Renew Memberships“  (located in the Action column on the far right of the screen).
  4. At the Family Membership Renewal page, select the check box located along with the members in your family you wish to renew.
  5. Select the check box next to the Membership Declaration (yellow box at bottom of the screen).
  6. Select Submit
  7. Select the red MAKE A PAYMENT box.
  8. Enter Active Kid Voucher details if you have a voucher to redeem   Enter the voucher value of $100.  (No vouchers to redeem? – Click Next to move to the payment screen).
  9. At the Payment page, select the red PAY ONLINE box.  Membership fees will be displayed.  Calculate your membership fee from the pop-up box, type in your membership fee value, and then select “Next”.  Enter credit card details, then “Next.

Transferring from another SLSC to Caves Beach SLSC

If you have been a member of another SLSC in the past you will need to transfer your membership right to Caves Beach SLSC before submitting a Membership Application. To do this please complete the following steps via your SLSA Online Members Area:

To apply to join or transfer to a new organisation click the “Join/Transfer to a new organisation” link on the Memberships screen. To join a surf club or to transfer to a different club, choose the first option. You will then be required to choose from the following three transfer options: -


• Full Transfer (Leave your current club) – means moving your membership to a different surf club. Once your application is approved, you will no longer be a member of your current club. If you select this option and are presently a member of more than one club, you will be asked to select the club you wish to leave.


• Competition rights transfer – Keep your membership at your current club(s) but move your competition rights to a new club. You will then have dual membership.


• Non-competition rights transfer – Join another club, while keeping your membership and your competition rights at your current club. You will then have dual membership.


Note: This transfer facility merely initiates the transfer process. The transfer itself depends on endorsement from both your current club, the new club and Branch or State approval.

In line with the updated WWCC Requirements – only those members who work with Children need to complete a WWCC.  Check here to find out if you need a check as part of your role.
